  • Ready-Set-Go NCJC has partnered up with Woodmont Day Camp to present a program what will help build self-esteem. The children will participate in active games that involve gross-motor skills, focus, imagination and teamwork.
  • Pee-Wee Tennis West Rock Tennis Club will be doing a program specially developed for pre-schoolers with the emphasis on fun and fitness while learning to play tennis.

Early childhood should be a pleasant journey, not a rush. At New City Jewish Center Nursery School, we want to foster a positive feeling within each child. When a child feels positive, he/she can more easily learn and grow through our multi-faceted curriculum. Our Nursery School mission is to foster the learning process through play.

Through play, we integrate a wide variety of educational experiences. Language arts, math, science and social studies are some of the cognitive skills that are developed in our program. Along with cognitive skills we have music, movement and dance.

Our teachers encourage and guide your children socially, emotionally, intellectually, spiritually and physically, in a nurturing environment filled with love, acceptance, laughter and understanding.

  • Each member of our staff is required to take 30 credits of continuing education every 2 years to maintain our NYSOFSDC License
  • All teachers are CPR certified
  • On staff we have 2 MAT [Medical Assistant Trainers]
  • Music teacher on staff
  • Our Rabbi celebrates Shabbat with us each week

Our bi-cultural program serves as a vehicle for fun and wonderment. We celebrate Shabbat each week with songs, candle lighting and challah. The holidays are celebrated with Hebrew songs and dance, art experiences, stories and of course, food. This process brings our past and present together at a level that is understood and enjoyed by all.

Each child is an individual, learning at their own pace…the pace is up to them. We are here to assure that the growth steps are positive and balanced. Both parent and child should enjoy the process…the results will come.

To that end, we are looking forward to an exciting, fun-filled year with you and your child.

LEARNING THROUGH PLAY TODAY ENSURES LIFE’S SUCCESSES TOMORROW!
